Climbing up the hill from the road from the Middle Boar Lake, you will be greeted by the Gate Church of the Iveron Mother of God.

The historian, archaeologist, an employee of the State Historical Museum, Maria Vasilievna Fechner, in the book “Great Bulgars Kazan Sviyazhsk” describes: “On the high bank of the Dalniy Kaban Lake there is the former suburban residence of the Kazan Bishop, the so-called New Jerusalem. By order of Catherine 2, the construction of the bishop's dacha on the territory of the Ressurection monastery abolished in 1764, where the Kazan bishops lived in the summer, was begun in 1781. With this gift - a country house of a palace character - the empress wished to reward Bishop Veniamin Grigorovich (Metropolitan since 1775) for the temporary disgrace to which he suffered, falsely accused of assisting Pugachev... From the end of the 17th century, the former Ressurection Monastery remained devoid of its completion and a little distorted by alterations of the later time, the Tikhon Amafuntsky Gate Church with window frames, columns and shovels typical of Russian architecture of that time, emphasizing the main division of the facade.”

In the Soviet period, in different years, on the ground floor there was a post office, on the second floor there was a library, archive, club.

Since November 30, 2012, the Divine Liturgy is again served in the church. The gate church was consecrated again in honor of the icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary "Iverskaya".
